Nursery had such a lovely time at Christmas. We had fun baking Christmas cookies, decorating and eating them for snack. Christmas jumper day was great, we dressed up in Christmas clothes, had Christmas Dinner and played games. We also explored cloud dough, decorating our own Christmas Tree and made cards and tree decorations. As well as having our very own class elf who took our letters back to Santa for us.
We’ve had a fantastic week in Nursery learning all about The Gingerbread Man. We read the story, spent lots of time carefully counting his buttons out and even had to hunt for lots of number gingerbreads in our garden. Our classroom smelt amazing with gingerbread playdough and even better when we baked our own gingerbread men, thankfully they didn’t run away before we could eat them!
Nursery really enjoyed finding out about the celebration of Diwali. We looked at how it is celebrated, listened to the story of Rama and Sita and got to dress up and explore Indian artefacts and clothes. Miss Wilson very kindly modelled her sari too. It was a fun and colourful way to celebrate the festival of light.
We‘ve had a wonderful first term in Nursery, learning all about us! We have had so much fun making new friends, exploring and learning in our beautiful classroom and huge garden.
We are so lucky to have a beautiful school orchard in our grounds. We went on an Autumn walk and picked our own fruit for snack, the apples and pears were delicious! There was so much to explore, beautiful leaves, flowers and lots of acorns. We have been learning about our senses and we got to use all 5 that day, it was so much fun.
