Governor ExperienceIn July 2018, having delivered a keynote speech at a national education conference, I was asked and duly accepted the offer to become a volunteer member of the Interim Executive Board (IEB) with responsibility for governing both Hartsholme Academy and St Giles Academy during their formal transition into the Healing Multi-Academy Trust.
CareerA multi-lingual (Arabic, Russian, Pashto & English) former RAF Aviator and Intelligence Specialist with over 23-years quantifiable global military experience. Since becoming a civilian (a painless experience that occurred over 7 years ago), I now have several disparate professional roles, including being the CEO of a forensic research company, a partner in a UK/US psychometric testing corporation and the Communications Director for a media production company.

Governor ExperienceI served as a teaching staff representative on the governing body at St Michael’s Thorpe on the Hill CE Primary School between 2004 and 2006 (3 years).
CareerI am a specialist in neurological diversity and provide interventions for professionals, parents and young people with Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia and related conditions.  Andrew has a number of roles including training, strategies and therapies for education professionals in schools and colleges, observing learners in the learning environment and providing practical solutions to help them achieve their potential.  I provide short courses for Bishop Grosseteste University and the University of Lincoln and hold a number of UK and overseas contracts. I delivered a TEDx Talk “From Disability to Superpowers” and have an extensive conference profile.  I am also a Forensic SEND Consultant and act as an expert witness in SEND related court cases.
Pecuniary InterestsI am the Director of People First Education which offers consultancy & training for schools in Special Educational Needs and Disability and have, in the past, provided services for Hartsholme Academy and St Giles Academy.

Daniel Callaghan
Governor ExperienceI currently serve as a Foundation Governor at Bishop King CE Primary School in Lincoln.  I also served as a teaching staff representative on the governing body at Ellison Boulters CE Primary School between 2006-2014 (8 years).  I was the Chair of the Scothern Pre-school Committee (PVI Setting) between 2012 and 2013. I was also a member of the IEB (Interim Executive Board) which took responsibility for governing Hartsholme Academy between July 2018 and April 2019.
CareerAfter graduating with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) from Bishop Grosseteste College, Lincoln in 2003, I started my career teaching at The Usher Junior School on Skellingthorpe Road.  In 2005 I moved to Ellison Boulters CE Primary School where I spent 9 years, 7 as part of the Senior Leadership Team and 3 as Assistant Headteacher. Before becoming Headteacher of Hartsholme Academy in September 2017, I spent 3 years working in School Improvement, with a focus on Teaching & learning.

Headteacher of St Giles Academy

Governor Experience

I served as an associate member on the governing bodies at Coddington Church of England Primary School from September 2007 until July 2009 and at Sir Donald Bailey Academy from September 2014 until December 2015.  I have also been a member of two separate IEBs (interim Executive Board) which were responsible for providing governance for St Giles Academy from September 2016 to July 2017 and from May 2018 to April 2019. 

CareerAfter graduating from Luton University with a Psychology degree in 1997, I worked in Quality Control for Lafarge Redland and then as a Branch Manager for Plumb Center until 2004. I retrained as a Primary School Teacher at Nottingham Trent University, through the the GTP (Graduate Teacher Programme) in 2005. I then went to work at Coddington Church of England Primary School for nine years as a class teacher and Middle Leader. After that, I worked as Assistant Head at Sir Donald Bailey Academy before moving to St Giles Academy in January 2016 as Assistant Head, then Head of School in February 2017 before becoming Headteacher from September 2017.

Carrie Greenfield
Governor ExperienceI became a parent Governor for St Giles Academy whilst it was under the previous Multi Academy Trust.  I later became a Trustee of the Trust and I have served on two separate IEBs for St Giles Academy. I am also the Chair of a Local Pre-school (PVI) setting, offering childcare and EYFS education for children aged between 6 weeks and 4 years of age.
CareerAfter working for a national charity for eight years where I specialised in payroll, I moved to a local firm which is a small family run business where I manage the day-to-day running of the office including all HR and accounting duties.  I work very closely with the Local Authority within this role as I also manage the build and supply of their bespoke minibus conversions for their unique rural Call Connect bus routes.

Governor ExperienceThis is my first role as a school governor.
Career

I spent the first 12 years of my career working in the retail sector in the offices.  I was responsible for the financial aspects and reporting of business figures.  I then moved to the media sector in 2007 where I have a very varied role!  My main duties are include finance, organisation and facilities.  I also train and operate the satellite vehicle.  during the past few years, I have undertaken the role of Mental Health First Aider for our business, as approved by MHFA England.  This is a very varied and sometimes challenging role that I love.

CareerI graduated with a degree in Geography from Sheffield Hallam University in 2005 and have since worked for Lincolnshire County Council in various procurement and contract management roles. Since 2012, I have worked as a Senior Contract Officer in the Commercial Team with responsibility for the contract management of a portfolio of Social Care and Public Health Contracts.

Governor ExperienceNone - this is my first experience but am looking forward to being involved in the life of the schools.
CareerI graduated from the University of Southampton in 1996 with a degree in nursing.  I have worked as a nurse since then first at Southampton General Hospital and then at Lincoln County Hospital where I am currently Junior Sister and fulfill the role of Colorectal Nurse Specialist. Both of our two children completed their primary education at Hartsholme Academy.  During that time I enjoyed volunteering to help children with their reading. I co-lead a toddler club at Lincoln Evangelical Church which is on Hartsholme estate and over the years have been involved in developing links between the school and the church, e.g. Christmas Carol Service.

Governor ExperienceThis is my first role as a school Governor but I am looking forward to learning and focusing my efforts on helping make the journey for both schools as positive and rewarding as possible for all concerned.
CareerI have had a varied career so far starting with landscape gardening and tree surgery moving into sales-led environment and onto 15 years running my own property maintenance company before coming across to the educational sector in 2013.  I hold a HND in Arboriculture and Business Finance, a Level 3 ILM Diploma in Management and leadership. I have passed the IOSH managing safely course and currently am taking the NEBOSH Occupational Health and Safety Diploma.

Governor Experience

This is the first Governing Body that I have served but I am looking forward to the challenge.  I am passionate about working with the school and improving it for the children.
CareerI currently work for the National Health Service in the Procurement Department.  This is a role I have held for the last ten years, at Lincoln hospital. For the last six years, I have volunteered at St Giles Academy with PACT (Parent and Community Team).  I have organised numerous events in and out of school and have raised much needed funds. I am also a Committee Member with the14th Lincoln Scouts Group. This is a position I have held for the last four years.

Governor ExperienceI have served on the Governing Body for my own school, Wragby Primary, in the capacity of Headteacher since 2013 and prior to this at the Deputy Headteacher (staff governor) from 2011.

Career

After graduating from Leeds Metropolitan University with a Bachelor of Education degree, with honours, I was appointed as a newly qualified teacher at Wragby Primary School. Almost 25 years later, I have, at some point or another, taught every year group in the school, been Assistant Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher and Acting headteacher.  I was appointed as Headteacher in June 2013.

Governor ExperienceI Have a wealth of experience having been a school governor for over 23 years and been through through many Ofsted inspections.  I originally became involved with my daughter’s primary school when she was 4 years old and she will be 40 next year. I became a Parent governor first and then continued being staff governor, co-opted governor and a community governor.
CareerI have been involved with education all my working life and enjoy getting involved. I am passionate about my job as Family Support Worker at St Giles Academy, which can be challenging but I enjoy giving 100% to support both parents and children in our school.  I am looking forward to the challenges ahead this opportunity offers new governors.
