Our Pastoral and Wellbeing Support Team is made up of:

Mrs Anna Ingamells - Lead DSL and Assistant Principal.

Mrs Laura Kettell - DSL.  Behaviour, Attendance, Wellbeing Support Lead.

At Hartsholme Academy, we place a strong emphasis on our pastoral care.  We seek to inspire greatness in every child and equip them with the academic achievement, life skills and personal attributes to lead to happy, safe, successful lives.

We know that the emotional wellbeing of children is just as important as their physical health. Good mental health allows children to develop the resilience to cope with whatever life throws at them and grow into well-rounded, healthy adults.

We aim to work closely with parents/carers, pupils and families to ensure the best support can be in place to allow our pupils to thrive.  We are always on hand to speak 1:1 about any concerns or queries that you may have from a home or school perspective.  Please contact a member of the Pastoral team if you ever have any concerns.

We have our own dedicated room in school for pastoral support which we proudly call 'More than A room.'  This is where direct work can be carried out with pupils throughout the day, as well as provide a space for discussions with parents.

At Hartsholme we also work closely with other external agencies such as a school counsellor, who visits weekly to support individuals across the school.  School can refer to other services when necessary.
