How We Support Young Carers
We know that young carers may need a little extra support to enjoy and do well at school. At Hartsholme Academy, Miss Mitchell and Mrs Millar are our Young Carers Champions and they are committed to ensuring that all pupils who are young carers are identified and supported effectively.
Our young carers club runs after school every Wednesday from 3.30pm - 4.30pm. The children can attend as often as they wish and can take part in a variety of fun activities with other young carers.
Mrs Millar also holds drop-in sessions in class 4M on a Monday lunchtime if your child needs help with homework, to chat or just to make contact between group sessions.
